Our story began in a middle school computer science class at Creekland Middle School, where Kendall was instantly charmed by Zach’s wit and good looks. Her feelings were even immortalized in the most earnest way a preteen could manage—her diary. Zach on the other hand was clueless. Though their paths diverged after middle school, fate reunited them in high school. There, Zach’s playful teasing sparked a friendship that quickly grew into something more.

Once again, life had other plans. Kendall headed to Georgia Southern in Statesboro, while Zach went to college in Athens. Despite nearly an entire state between them, a shared friend, Jaelen Hogan, became their bridge. Both confided in Jaelen about their feelings, and he orchestrated a meet-up that changed everything. Soon, Zach was making weekend trips to Statesboro, and Kendall to Athens, building a relationship that flourished through distance.

Eventually, Kendall moved to Athens to pursue her master’s degree, and their bond only deepened. Their family grew too—starting with their dog, Hadleigh, and later their two cats, Bear and Maeve. Now, they’ve built a loving home together in East Atlanta.

Through all of life’s ups and downs, they’ve been each other’s greatest support, sharing dreams, adventures, and milestones. As they look to the future, they’re thrilled to celebrate this next chapter with all of you
